Someone on Colorado Avenue types the job plus the neighborhood — plumber, dentist, HVAC, a shop on the westside. Google shows three businesses in the map pack. Everyone else is a miss.
This page is for local businesses in Old Colorado City and the westside who want those searches. Casey's SEO is not your trade. We do not run the trucks, the chairs, or the storefront. We make sure Google, Google Maps, YouTube, and AI tools can name you when someone nearby is ready to call.

How people find a business in Old Colorado City
Most of those searches end in the Google map pack — the three businesses on Google Maps at the top of local results. The Google Business Profile is the listing that feeds that pack. The website pages tell Google which jobs you actually run and which parts of town you cover. YouTube videos about those same jobs and neighborhoods show up in Google and give AI Overviews and tools like ChatGPT something true to quote.
If the profile says one city and the site says "we serve all of Colorado Springs," you are asking Google to guess. It will guess a competitor who named Old Colorado City or the westside.
Old Colorado City is not downtown Colorado Springs. It is not the Broadmoor. It is not Manitou Springs. People type the neighborhood they are standing in. A Springs-only profile does not win that pack.
Google Business Profile
Pick the category that matches the work you actually sell. Categories you do not live up to get you the wrong jobs — or reviews that say you never showed.
Services should be the jobs you sell in this market. Not a copied list from a national franchise. Photos: real jobs, real storefront, real Old Colorado City. Stock photos look like every other listing. Posts and Q&A keep the profile looking open. Service areas should match where you actually work — not all of El Paso County you cannot reach by noon.
Name, address, and phone have to match the website and the rest of the web.
We cover map-pack work in more detail on Google Maps optimization. The Old Colorado City version is the same idea with your category and your photos.
Website pages that match the search
Google still wants a page that says the neighborhood and the job. One statewide "we serve Colorado Springs" paragraph does not win plumber Old Colorado City or dentist westside from someone on Colorado Avenue.
On your site — not this one — you need pages for the neighborhoods you serve and the searches people type when they need you today. If you do not run a town, do not list it. Google and AI both punish the business that claims all of the Springs and shows up from downtown.
That is the same local SEO work we describe on Colorado Springs local SEO, written for an Old Colorado City business instead of a broader Springs shop.
Names Google already knows
Use the names people type. Not a dump of every district on the map.
- Old Colorado City
- The westside when you actually serve those neighborhoods
- Colorado Avenue if your storefront is there
- Colorado Springs, when paired with the neighborhood
If you do not run a town, leave it off.
Videos: YouTube, Shorts, and AI Overviews
You do not film. Casey writes and produces videos from your services and the neighborhoods you serve. They go on YouTube because those videos tend to show up in Google quickly. Backlinks to them are part of what tells Google you are real. AI Overviews pull from YouTube, news, and business listings. A video about "plumber Old Colorado City" or "dentist westside Colorado Springs" gives you a shot at both search and AI.

Timeline: 30–60 / 60–90 days
Map pack movement takes time. In month one we set up or repair the Google Business Profile, name the cities and jobs on your website, and write the first video. In months two and three Google starts to see the match between your profile, your site, and the searches from Old Colorado City and the neighborhoods around it. Rank swings happen in month two or three, not week two.
We do not guarantee first page. We do the work that makes first page possible.
El Paso County and the westside
Old Colorado City sits on the westside of Colorado Springs in El Paso County. Colorado Avenue is the main spine. Walk-up searches and neighborhood searches are common here — people know the area and search it by name. The historic storefronts and neighborhood character mean locals trust a business that claims to be there, not one that claims to serve "all of the Front Range."
Why does Old Colorado City matter if I serve all of Colorado Springs?
Google rewards specificity. A business that claims "all of the Springs" ranks lower than one that names the neighborhood it serves. If you do work in Old Colorado City, say it. If you also serve downtown and the Broadmoor, list those too — but do not hide the westside where you actually are.
Do I need a separate website for the westside?
No. You need pages on your main website for Old Colorado City and the jobs you do there. One page for "plumber Old Colorado City," another for "dentist westside," etc. Google reads those pages and connects them to your Google Business Profile. A separate site confuses Google and dilutes your rank.
How do videos help if I am a local shop?
Videos show up in Google search, YouTube, and AI Overviews. A 60-second video of real work on Colorado Avenue or in the historic storefronts tells Google and customers you are there. We write and produce them. You do not film. It gives AI tools like ChatGPT real facts to quote when someone asks "where do I find a plumber near Old Colorado City."
What if I serve Manitou Springs and the Broadmoor too?
List them. Name the jobs. But focus first on the neighborhoods where you are strongest. If Old Colorado City is home, start there. The Google Business Profile and your website should match where your trucks actually go and where your customers actually call from.
How much does this cost?
Month to month. Call 719-639-8238 and talk to Casey. No contract. No setup fees we list here. The work is local SEO — Google Business Profile, website pages, and video production.
