PCS week hits different. Your family moves in seven days. The kitchen sink backs up. The HVAC quits. The fence needs work before you hand off the keys. You need a local business near Fort Carson—not a Denver office, not a Springs company three towns over. Someone who answers the phone and shows up.
Google shows three businesses in the map pack when someone types the job and the city. A plumber in Fountain. An HVAC tech near Security-Widefield. A contractor off Highway 115. Everyone else is a miss.
This page is for local businesses in Fort Carson, Fountain, and Security-Widefield who want those searches. Casey's SEO is not your trade. We do not run the trucks, the chairs, or the storefront. We make sure Google, Google Maps, YouTube, and AI tools can name you when a military family or off-post resident nearby is ready to call.

How people find a business near Fort Carson
Most of those searches end in the Google map pack — the three businesses on Google Maps at the top of local results. The Google Business Profile is the listing that feeds that pack. The website pages tell Google which jobs you actually run and which parts of Fort Carson, Fountain, or Security-Widefield you cover. YouTube videos about those same jobs and cities show up in Google and give AI Overviews and tools like ChatGPT something true to quote.
Military families and off-post residents do not have time to guess. They type the job and the nearest city. If your profile says Fort Carson but your site says "we serve El Paso County," you are asking Google to guess. It will guess a competitor who named the city.
Fort Carson is not Colorado Springs. Fountain is not Security-Widefield. Highway 115 is not the metro. People type the city they are standing in or the one closest to home. A Colorado Springs–only profile does not win the pack for Fountain.
Google Business Profile
Pick the category that matches the work you actually sell. Categories you do not live up to get you the wrong jobs — or reviews that say you never showed.
Services should be the jobs you sell in this market. Not a copied list from a national franchise. Photos: real jobs, real storefront, real Fort Carson or Fountain. Stock photos look like every other listing. Posts and Q&A keep the profile looking open and responsive. Service areas should match where you actually work — not half of El Paso County you cannot reach by noon.
Name, address, and phone have to match the website and the rest of the web.
We cover map-pack work in more detail on Google Maps optimization. The Fort Carson version is the same idea with your category, your photos, and the neighborhoods you actually serve.
Website pages that match the search
Google still wants a page that says the city and the job. One statewide "we serve Colorado" paragraph does not win plumber Fort Carson or HVAC Fountain from someone on Highway 115 or off-post housing.
On your site — not this one — you need pages for the cities you serve and the searches people type when they need you today. If you do not run a town, do not list it. Google and AI both punish the business that claims half of Colorado and shows up from Denver.
That is the same local SEO work we describe on Colorado local SEO and Colorado Springs local SEO, written for a Fort Carson business instead of a metro shop.
Names Google already knows
Use the names people type. Not a dump of every military housing area on the map.
- Fort Carson
- Fountain when you actually serve that pack
- Security-Widefield when you work that area
- Off-post family housing, if that is where your customers live
- Colorado Springs only if your trucks go there
If you do not run a town, leave it off.
Videos: YouTube, Shorts, and AI Overviews
You do not film. Casey writes and produces videos from your services and the cities you serve. They go on YouTube because those videos tend to show up in Google quickly and in Get Found results. Backlinks to them are part of the work. One video per service and per city. A plumber in Fountain shoots different from a plumber in Fort Carson — not because the work changes, but because Google and AI tools reward local video.
Shorts and reels keep the work live on social. Facebook and Instagram are optional. YouTube is required.
Timeline: Real work takes time
Map-pack rank on a new profile or a profile with no video and no service area takes 30 to 60 days. You will see the profile look better in week one. The pack rank comes after Google sees consistent name, address, phone, website pages, video, and reviews. Page-one rank on the organic search (not the map pack) takes 60 to 90 days.
We do not promise page one. We do not guarantee rank. We do the work that tends to get rank: real video, real pages, real service areas, and real reviews.
Get started
Call 719-639-8238 or contact Casey. Tell us the job you sell and the cities near Fort Carson where your customers live. Month to month. No contract. We work on local SEO — Google Business Profile, website pages, YouTube video, and getting AI tools to name you.
Why does my Google Business Profile say Fort Carson but I serve Fountain too?
Google Business Profile has one address. If you have two shops, you need two profiles. If you have one address but serve multiple cities, the service area field tells Google where you work. Fountain is a different city from Fort Carson. Add it to your service area and make sure your website has a page for Fountain jobs so Google can match the search.
How long before I see calls from the map pack?
If your profile is new or has no video and no service area, expect 30 to 60 days. If your profile is old but broken, 30 to 60 days after we fix it. The map pack sorts by distance, rating, and relevance. Video and reviewed service areas help relevance. Reviews and fresh posts help ranking. It is not instant, but it is worth the wait.
Do I need to film videos myself?
No. You do not film. Casey writes and produces the videos. We shoot from photos you give us, your service descriptions, and the cities you serve. One video per service and per city. They go on YouTube and get backlinked from your site and other places. You keep your phone ready for calls.
What if I only serve off-post housing and not the whole city?
Your service area field is honest. List off-post family housing if that is where you work. Google will show you to searches from that area. Your website pages should match. If you serve only one part of Fountain, say that. Google rewards specificity and punishes overreach.
Is Casey's SEO the same for Fort Carson as for Colorado Springs?
Yes. The work is the same: Google Business Profile, website pages, video, and reviews. Fort Carson has a military base and family housing. Colorado Springs has more metro sprawl. We tune the cities and the video to match where your customers are. The method does not change.
