Lafayette dentists don't compete with Denver. They compete with the practice two blocks down Public Road and the one just off US-287. When someone types "dentist near me" from a car near Coal Creek, Google pulls up a short list of East Boulder County offices, and the map pack decides who gets the call before the website ever loads.
That map pack runs on the Google Business Profile, not the website. Categories, services, photos, reviews, hours, service area — all of it lives on the profile Google shows first. A practice with a great site and a thin profile still loses to a competitor with a filled-out listing and recent reviews.
We build and manage that listing for Lafayette dentists. Month to month. Call 719-639-8238 and talk to Casey.
What Lafayette Patients Type Before They Click
Most searches near Public Road or US-287 are short: dentist near me, family dentist Lafayette, dentist Lafayette CO. The person searching usually wants an office close to home or work, not a name they recognize. Google decides who fits "near me" using the profile's address, categories, and how complete the listing is. A profile with vague categories or a missing service list gets skipped for one that answers the search directly.
Google Business Profile Work We Do
We go through the listing piece by piece:
- Categories — the primary category and any secondary ones that match what the practice actually offers, not just "Dentist."
- Services — a real list, not a generic default, so cleanings, crowns, and whatever else the office does show up in search.
- NAP — name, address, phone matching exactly across the profile and the website.
- Photos — office front, waiting room, team photos. Profiles with current photos read as active practices.
- Reviews — a plan for asking, and responses that don't sound copy-pasted.
- Posts and Q&A — keeping the profile current and making sure open questions don't sit unanswered.
- Service area — set honestly to East Boulder County towns the practice actually serves, not a wide radius that dilutes local relevance.
Your Website Needs to Match the Profile
A strong profile still needs a website that backs it up. If someone clicks through from the map pack and lands on a generic page, they bounce. We build city and service pages that match what the profile says, so a search for a specific service or a specific East Boulder County town leads somewhere useful. See how the pieces fit together on the Lafayette dentist SEO page, or check the emergency page and implants page if either applies to the practice.
Videos for the Profile
Google Business Profiles with video stand out in the map pack. Casey writes and produces a short video for the listing and the website. No filming at the office, no camera crew, nobody on staff needs to be on camera. We handle the production end to end.

We're right on Public Road but a lot of our patients come from Erie and Louisville. Should we list those as service areas?
If you regularly treat patients from those towns, list them. Keep the primary address as the real office location and add nearby towns you honestly serve, not every city in Boulder County.
Our name has "Family Dentistry" in it but we also do cosmetic work. Does that change how we should set up categories?
The business name doesn't limit the categories. Set the primary category to match the bulk of the practice, then add secondary categories for cosmetic or other services so those searches can find you too.
We just moved offices closer to US-287. How fast do we need to update the profile?
Update it as soon as the move is confirmed. A mismatched address between the profile and the website confuses Google and can drop the listing out of local results until it's fixed.
Do we need photos of every dentist and hygienist, or is the office enough?
Office photos matter, but team photos help too. Patients near Coal Creek and Public Road often pick a dentist partly on who they'll be sitting across from, so a few real staff photos go a long way.
