Is SEO worth it for a small business? Yes, it is. Without SEO, your customers will never find your website unless you are in a niche that hardly exists. And if you just put up a web page, you will be ranking number one. If that’s not not the case, yes, you need SEO.
If you are someone that does not have the time to learn SEO or that is not computer savvy, I recommend that you guys hire an SEO specialist even if it’s to do the bare minimum. Without even doing the bare minimum, you’re not going to be ranking your web page and that’s why it is key to add in keywords in your location, especially if you are a small local business. You need these things. But the other thing that you need is your Google business profile page. That is going to be key to driving customers through maps.
And this page is really easy to set up, but it will take you a little bit of time. Once you get the page set up, I recommend you add services and descriptions. You add products and then you add some post with a call to action. Now, for your website, the bare minimum for SEO that you should be performing is adding H ones, H two S, your title tags, meta descriptions, and finding what keywords that your customers are searching for in your area and then sprinkle those around on your web page. So at least Google and the search engines know what your website is about.
There are lots of free tools out there which you can find keywords, you can see what areas your website needs improvement on. And one of the free software is that I always recommend is SEO Power Suite. Now, you can obviously pay for a premium version which offers a little bit more, but if you just want to do the bare minimum and try it out yourself, at least download the software, learn how to do it. I have other videos on this channel that go through everything and if you have any questions or comments, comments, need help? Please let me know.
