Why I Love SEO

Welcome to Casey’s SEO, and I want to share with you guys why I love SEO. So I started with SEO roughly ten years ago, started with building websites and then trying to learn how to get more traffic to those websites. Now, the main reason why I love SEO is that instant kind of gratification. So you can make a change on your site. You can see it in just a matter of seconds, being live, and then you can follow up with results really quickly to see if those changes that you made, if they actually work.

Now, your results aren’t going to come in right away, but over the matter of a week, two to a couple of months, you will be able to see those changes that you made, and if you’re able to drive more traffic with that change, or if you need to make a different strategy. And that is where trial and error come in. So if you think about it, you can really sit at the computer, make changes all day long, and wait a little bit, see if anything happened positive. And if they did, you can continue on that path. And if your traffic dropped down or you didn’t see the results that you wanted, you could hop back on the computer for another few hours, make some more changes, and then wait.

And you could sit there and create content all day for your website. You can create videos. You have social media you could build backlinks. There’s just a lot of different things that you guys can do on your site in order to drive more traffic and kind of test those results. So it’s honestly never ending, and it’s always evolving.

Now, you may wake up tomorrow morning and notice that Google made an update, and your page is no longer getting traffic. Then you have to do some investigating and figure out what you can do in order to get that page back on track, which leads into always learning. So if you decide that you want to stop learning with SEO, I think your results in the long run are not going to be where you want them to be, since there are always algorithm updates, and there’s always just something in the background moving with SEO and how you search and find websites and pages, but you can always learn new ways to increase your traffic. And the last reason why I love SEO is you get to help people. So if you have a new client that needs a website built, and you can build them a website, you can drive traffic to that site and make some sales, it makes them happy, which then in the long run, it makes me happy.
