Looking for a real world case study for local SEO? Here you go.
Before you jump in to the results you should know how this case study was set up.
Note: This is not a customer, just a case study.
(Actual names of the businesses and keywords may be different than shown below).
For this case study, I choose a keyword that was not in this Google Business Profile’s name . For those who don’t know, if your keyword is used in your business name, Google “should” rank you higher. For example Bob’s Auto Repair. If someone is searching for the keyword Auto Repair, Bob’s Auto Repair should rank higher than someone searching for car repair.
This keyword used for this case study would be considered one of the hardest keywords to rank for locally. As you can see, there has been improvement and it will take a while for the whole map to become Green.
As you can see the above grid looks different. First, the areas that have little to no homes/businesses have been removed. Second, the grid has a smaller radius. The Scan Ranking will appear different between the grids but the goal is the same. Change the red and yellow pins to green.
Note: When the grid is smaller, the pins are closer together and the rankings should appear stronger as you can see.
As more pins turn green and when needed, the grid size will expand to see the rankings throughout the city.
