And those larger clients can get very overwhelming and demanding, especially when they’re paying lots of money. First, I would suggest you try to stay as organized as possible on your computer. Create a different folder for every single client, and then subfolders within those folders and go as deep as you have to so you can always find whatever material you need right away. If you can, instead of having multiple Google Property accounts, try to create it all in one so you can use, let’s say, your Gmail account for your business. Add all the clients to your Google Search console, your Google Analytics, and your Google Business Profile page, so you can just log into one profile, and then you can have access to every client.
You should also add different projects in your SEO software so you can go through and check their audits or any of their updates anytime you need. And you should also schedule a monthly audit so you can stay updated without having to run an audit every month. If you’re somebody that’s more hands on, you can still create folders and put each client into a folder and then take notes and add notes to those folders whenever needed so you can always go back, check out the latest piece of info that you put in there so you can always stay updated. And on top of things when you’re scheduling out your time, you can block off certain hours every day of the week for a particular client. So if you know you have one client that is 40 hours a month, maybe you want to work roughly 2 hours every day on that client, and then you could block off those hours so you always know between one and three you were working on that client.
This way, at the end of the month, you will actually have some work done for that client instead of on the last day of the month. You’re worrying because you haven’t worked on that client yet and they paid for 30 hours last. Make sure you have hard stops on your meetings. If a client is only a five hour client, they probably should not be taking four to five meetings every month because that is wasting their SEO time that they paid for. And you shouldn’t just be adding an additional 5 hours for those meetings.
If they scheduled a meeting for 30 minutes, you need to let them know that that meeting has to be done in 30 minutes because you have another meeting that you have to get ready for right away.
